The Urology Foundation (TUF) and Penguins Against Cancer (PAC) have introduced a fund to benefit patients undergoing treatment for urological cancers. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to fund audit or quality improvement projects, or to introduce new equipment or procedures in the clinic to improve the patient cancer pathway.

THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 23:59 ON 30th NOVEMBER 2025

What kind of projects could be funded?

These awards are for small projects which could help improve understanding of cancer diagnosis or treatment pathways, for example what works well and where improvements could be made. Projects should be aiming to achieve better outcomes for patients/ improve the quality of care for patients. We will also consider projects that are pilots or testing data for potentially larger research projects, or purchase of equipment that will be used to directly improve patient care. There should be clear criteria on how the project findings might be shared and disseminated more widely so that others might learn from your experience.

Projects applied for must be ready to start within 6 months of receipt of an award and expect to conclude within a 12 month timeframe (max. 24 months in exceptional circumstances).

The maximum award available from this funding stream is £5,000.
