Prior to the match Simon was remembered by his family, teams and supporters with applause that echoed around Honor Oak Park.

At times champagne rugby bubbled to the top, supporters shouting for both sides and changing allegiance throughout the match. Hugely entertaining with a final score of 49 - 51 to the Penguins.
The club house following the match was a great warm up for the evening ahead.
The evening included the announcement of the Simon Lau Pancreatic Cancer Research Award of £5000 to The Institute of Cancer Research. There was also the milestone of two thirds of a million pounds (£666,000) raised and disbursed by Penguins Against Cancer since the inception of the charity on November 6th 2013.
Thanks to the organisers of the match and the dinner.
