PAC Supports World Cancer Day, Guy’s Bar

On World Cancer Day 2026 (Wednesday, the 4th of February), the PAC student committee organised and ran a penguin themed event at Guy’s Bar Sports night to raise money and increase membership for our amazing charity.
We saw a variety of wonderful costumes, lots of fun and games as the Sports Clubs united for a great cause. People were very generous throughout the night, and with £1 of every ticket sold for the event going to PAC, we raised awareness of our fabulous charity and gained a few new members too. Overall, we raised an incredible £713 for PAC from ticket sales and one-off donations.
The PAC Student Committee and student helpers are really pleased with how successful this event was, and we are grateful to everyone who donated. Thanks also to Guy’s Bar for their help during the planning and on the night. After this success, we are hoping to hold many more events like this and make PAC our official GKT charity.
Huge thanks to Imogen Gush, Toby Donelan, Ruby Mann and the other stalwarts for their support on the door throughout the evening.
